Dear Prospective FIRST Tech Challenge Event Volunteers-

We need your help!

Wyoming FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics competition continues to

grow each year!  This year we are hosting teams from around Wyoming and

the Rocky Mountain Region.  On March 17th this year we will be hosting

the Wyoming FIRST Tech Challenge Regional.  In order to make this event

successful we depend on volunteers from the community to offer their time

and expertise to this growing program.  We need YOU to be part of the action!

FTC coaches, mentors, and volunteers from NCSD and Casper College have been busy to make this

event a remarkable experience for each student. In order for this event to be successful, we need MANY

volunteers. We need volunteers in the following areas Judges, Referees, Hardware Inspectors and

General Volunteers. [We need our Judge, Hardware Inspector and Referee volunteers to be adults.]

  • Judges work in pairs to interview and evaluate teams to determine the recipients of various
  •  awards.
  • Referees manage the the action during the Robot Game, and record the score for each round.
  • Hardware Inspectors will inspect the teams hardware before the competition to be sure teams
  • robots are legally equipt.
  • General volunteers help with the competition in a variety of areas including team runners,
  • field resetting, pit tables, etc.

Individuals interested in being any type of volunteer (Judge, Referee, Hardware inspector or General Volunteer) must sign
